Nikolay Prodanov

DEPUTY MINISTER OF JUSTICE

Born in 1960 in the city of Tryavna.

Master of History (“St. Cyril and St. Methodius” University of Veliko Tarnovo, 1984), Master of Law (“St. Cyril and St. Methodius” University of Veliko Tarnovo, 2001), Master of National security and defense (Military Academy “Georgi S. Rakovski”, 2012). He has completed the Strategic course for preparation of executives for the system of national security and defense (Military Academy “Georgi S. Rakovski”, 2013).

Doctor of Sciences (History) (2000), Doctor of Sciences (Law) with dissertation on “Constitutional basis for state security in Bulgaria 1879-1947” (2015).

Official at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (1984-1986). Lecturer at the “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” University of Veliko Tarnovo since 1986. Associate professor (2003), Professor of “History of Law” at the Department “Public Law Sciences” of the Faculty of Law at the “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” University of Veliko Tarnovo (2016).

Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law of “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” University of Veliko Tarnovo (2011-2014). Vive Rector of science and career development of “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” University of Veliko Tarnovo (2014-2016).

Author of more than 150 scientific publications on History of Bulgaria, History of Law, Law of national security, Law of education, science and culture etc.
